Artist Statement
Sara Svilar has a particular passion for chamber music. Her artistic vision is to develop original programmes and arrangements and to perform in ensembles that are still relatively uncommon on concert stages. Her musical interests span a wide range of genres and styles, from the various periods of classical music to contemporary music, jazz and Renaissance music.
Sara is a member of two ensembles: Duo Sonus Connexus (voice, violin and piano) and the Koroleva-Svilar Duo (violin and piano). Through her musical work, she hopes to reach diverse audiences and bring music to places where live performances are not an everyday occurrence. She feels particularly drawn to performing in care homes and schools, where the immediate connection with the audience and the joy that music can bring are truly irreplaceable. For her, this is at the heart of what it means to be an artist.Through musical communication, she seeks to convey emotions such as love and longing, evoke memories, move people and offer them moments of inspiration.
